On Tuesday, ASUS quietly launched the 28-inch MG28UQ, a new 28-inch 4K 3840x2160p 16:9 gaming monitor with rapid

1-millisecond response time to eliminate artifacts and ghosting.
ASUS first showed us its new 2016 MG 4K Series panels at its Media Booth during CES last month. The display features a 3840x2160p TN panel with 157 pixels-per-inch (ppi). Other panel details include 10-bit color, 330 cd/m2 brightness, dynamic mega-contrast, a 170-degree viewing angle, flicker-free LED backlighting, a built-in framerate counter, and a built-in display calibration utility. The panel also utilizes ASUS-exclusive Ultra-Low Blue Light technology to allow users to see the display during night shifts and gaming sessions for extended durations of time without any undue strain.

"The ASUS MG28UQ gaming display is built for victory in the professional gaming arena. With its 4K UHD panel and 1ms response time,
it blurs the line between what's virtual and what's real to draw you into truly immersive gaming worlds.
It even includes gamer-centric features like ASUS GamePlus and GameVisual technologies to take your gaming experience to a whole new level."
The ASUS MG28UQ includes a DisplayPort 1.2a connector supporting VESA’s Adaptive Sync,
allowing the panel to self-refresh when paired up with compatible AMD graphics cards.
It also includes two HDMI 1.4a ports, one HDMI 2.0 connector for 4K UHD playback, and two USB 3.0 5Gbps connectors for quick-charging mobile devices.

Full video software features on the MG28UQ include trace-free technology, skin-tone selection,

color temperature selection, ASUS GamePlus modes (Crosshair, Timer, FPS Counter and Display Alignment),

ASUS VividPixel, and ASUS GameVisual (Scenery, Racing, Cinema, RTS, RPG, FPS, and sRGB modes). ASUS also includes its Multi-Frame software as an optional download, which can be found here.
ASUS claims that its 28-inch MG28UQ is specifically designed for “long marathon gaming sessions.
” The ergonomically-designed stand allows users to adjust tilt, swivel, pivot and display height to find an ideal viewing position.
It also includes a quick-release latch to separate the MG28UQ from its stand and mount it on a wall.

Physical dimensions of the display with stand are 660.26mm (26 inches) wide,
416 – 566mm (16.38 – 22.28 inches) tall, and 233.4mm (9.19 inches) deep. Pricing and availability are currently unknown.
We expect ASUS to have more information by market shortly.
